NHSBA Policy Services
One of the most important duties of a school board is to establish school board policy. For an annual fee of $450, your school board can become a Policy Service subscriber. Policy Service subscribers receive the following benefits and services:
- Ongoing policy development and general legal information from NHSBA's Staff Attorney.
- Quarterly Policy News Bulletins.
- Quarterly Policy Updates, including new and revised
Sample Policies.
- Username and password to access and download NHSBA Sample Policies from our Web site.
- Timely information regarding policies mandated by law.
The updating service is a resource tool for school board members and school administrators. The service provides well-reasoned Sample Policies plus the legal rationale and reference supporting them.
Policy Manual Review
NHSBA also offers a Policy Manual Review. Our Staff Attorney will review your District's manual and provide a written report covering format, organization, style, and content. Notation will be made of any policies required by state or federal law that are not included in your manual. Policy Manual Review is a contract service provided for a flat fee of $900.
Policy Manual Customization
The Association offers a comprehensive Policy Manual Customization. A new Policy Manual is developed for your district based upon the NHSBA Model School Board Policies manual and your district's current policy and practices. A Policy Manual Customization is a contract service provided on a fee basis.
